For the best canned potatoes, a little time in the air fryer creates that golden brown exterior that you'd normally get from roasting fresh potatoes in the oven.
It heats in a convection style, meaning that hot air circulates around the food, helping build a crispy coating on the outside and a perfectly cooked center.
Canned potatoes come in water and are loaded with moisture, so to help them crisp rather than steam, dry the potatoes the best you can with a paper towel.
Season the potatoes as desired before cooking them in the air fryer at 400 degrees F for about 15 minutes. When they're done, it will be hard to tell they ever came from a can.
