Unlike when cooking frozen hash browns in a skillet on the stovetop, the air fryer makes it so you don't have to worry about knowing when to flip the layer of shredded potatoes.
All you'll need is an air fryer, a bit of cooking oil, salt, pepper, and other seasonings you like. Start by adding the desired amount of shredded potatoes, but avoid overcrowding.
Depending on your preferred level of browning, you can air fry shredded hash browns from 350 to 370 degrees F, cooking them for around 20 minutes and flipping halfway.
Preformed frozen hash brown patties should take around 10 minutes total at 375 to 390 degrees F. Make sure to lightly grease your basket with oil, but avoid using cooking spray.
