Is Costco's Kirkland-Brand Coffee Made By Starbucks?

Costco’s Kirkland-brand coffee has been known to be produced by Starbucks, as evident from the branding on the packaging. However, recent observations suggest a change.

Shoppers have noticed the disappearance of Starbucks labeling on Kirkland’s medium roast House Blend, leaving uncertainty about the current producer.

While Costco’s website still offers Starbucks products online, the items no longer bear Starbucks branding, implying that not all Kirkland coffee is (or was) supplied by Starbucks.

Both the Kirkland whole-bean espresso blend and its decaf blend are (or were) supplied by Starbucks, but Costco appears to have used another company for its Colombian coffees.

California-based Rogers Family Co. has been named as one of the suppliers. However, the packaging for the Colombian Supremo doesn’t indicate any other brand besides Kirkland.

It’s also been confirmed that some Kirkland coffee has been supplied by other companies, including Keurig and Green Mountain, which mostly provide Kirkland-branded coffee pods.

While it’s challenging to determine the supplier behind Costco’s Kirkland-brand coffee, potential suppliers include Starbucks, Rogers Family Co., and Keurig and Green Mountain.
