How Trader Joe's Picks The Wine It Sells And How To Spot Its Best Bottles

At Trader Joe's, the most popular wine bottles are strategically placed at the end of the aisle, but the employees are also specifically trained to help you decide which to buy.
On the Inside Trader Joe's podcast, hosts Tara Miller and Matt Sloan explain that the selection is unique to each store, where employees taste the wine before deciding to stock it.
Miller goes on to say that the wines that sell the fastest always go in the stacks at the ends of the aisle, where they are more visibly on display than the other wines.
This contrasts with other chains, where wine brands often pay to have their products placed on display. Think of the stacks as a best-seller list for the wines at Trader Joe's.
