Rather than throwing away that 2-liter soda bottle, turn it into a mini greenhouse for your indoor herb garden or outdoor container crops in just a few easy steps.
Watering plants
A greenhouse is basically a warm, humid bubble that protects tender plants while they grow. Your DIY soda bottle greenhouse does the same thing on a smaller scale.

Take a clean 2-liter soda bottle, slice off the bottom third, then remove any labels so sunlight can pass through easily. Now, plant your seeds or tiny herbs in a small pot.
Soda bottle and a plant
Gently lower the top two-thirds of the bottle over the plant like a dome. Pop off the bottle cap or poke a few holes near the top with a skewer to create tiny vents for airflow.

If it looks too misty inside, lift the bottle slightly to release some humidity. Your mini greenhouse will now trap the warmth and moisture inside and help plants grow.
