How Long Is Both Raw And Cooked Ground Beef Safe In The Fridge?

When storing raw ground beef, the U.S. Department of Agriculture recommends refrigerating it for no more than two days, while cooked ground beef will last three to four days.
Ground beef spoils faster than other cuts because it has a higher chance of harboring more bacteria due to being minced, creating more surface area for microorganisms to attach.
If unopened, you can leave the raw meat in its packaging, but place it on top of a plate or dish to avoid contact with other foods. Then, put it on the lowest shelf of your fridge.
On the other hand, if you've already cooked your meat and have leftovers, simply store them in an airtight container before putting them in the fridge.
