How Long Canned Beer Lasts In The Fridge Vs Room Temperature
NEWS

Although most beer cans have expiration dates, after which the drink starts losing its flavor and aroma, storing canned beer in the fridge can help extend its shelf life.
When refrigerated, the cold temperature slows down the oxidation and degradation processes, helping canned beer last an additional two to three years past its expiration date.
However, once opened, the beer will taste good for about a day in the fridge. Alternatively, sealed beers can last five to nine months at room temperature beyond their expiration.
Since beer is more susceptible to heat and light exposure at room temperature, storing it outside can accelerate its aging process, causing deterioration in flavor and quality.
On the other hand, higher alcohol content beers last longer due to the alcohol acting as a preservative. Expired beers; however, aren’t unsafe to drink and can be used for cooking.
