Here's The Best Way To Sharpen A Serrated Knife

Sharpening a serrated knife isn't much more complicated than sharpening a regular knife, provided you follow a few pointers to avoid damaging the peaks on the blade.
Since the edge of a serrated knife isn't a straight line, you must individually sharpen each groove — but only on one side, as most serrated knives are beveled on a single face.
For this reason, don’t use any tool that sharpens both sides of a knife. Start slowly and use small movements to avoid oversharpening or taking too much metal off the edge.
When using a regular-sized honing rod, rest the tip on a stable flat surface and move each groove on the knife's edge back and forth on the rod. This will cause a burr to arise.
Since the burr is curved towards the opposite side of the blade, turn the blade over and give it a few long strokes on the honing rod. This smoothens and straightens the burr.
