Here's How To Shingle Avocados And Impress Everyone

Avocados can be prepared in many ways, but one of the easiest and most aesthetically pleasing methods is to shingle them — slice thinly and arrange them so they closely overlap.
First, use a knife to halve and pit a ripe avocado, then scoop it out of its peel with a spoon. You can also slice off the top end of the avocado so it's easier to peel by hand.
Place a peeled avocado half flat-side down and slice it into ⅛ to ¼ inch pieces. Using fingers, push the slices down and at a slight angle for the classic shingled aesthetic.
