Guy Fieri never goes without powdered chicken stock, also known as chicken powder. Used widely in Chinese cooking, it’s basically dehydrated chicken stock ground into fine powder.

This pantry ingredient has a deep chicken flavor that's described as an "umami bomb" and contains no extra ingredients or veggies usually found in regular chicken stock or broth.

Beyond being extremely flavorful, chicken powder is convenient and easy to use. It can save you the trouble of having to tend to stock on the stove for hours while preparing it.

To use the powder conventionally, dissolve it in hot water to reconstruct it into a broth and use it in soups, sauces, stews, gravies, or any dish that calls for chicken stock.

Fieri told Food & Wine he suggests using it "where you would typically add chicken stock but you don't wanna add the extra liquid," basically turning it into a seasoning.
