Frank Sinatra's Final Meal Was A Childhood Classic

On May 14, 1998, Frank Sinatra ate his last meal not long before he had a heart attack at his Beverly Hills home. The meal was a classic childhood dish — a grilled cheese sandwich.
Perhaps the 82-year-old's many medical issues blunted his well-known appetite, for he only got through half the sandwich. He died two hours later at Cedars-Sinai Hospital.
The grilled cheese sandwich is an American classic — a crispy, cheesy, warm, and gooey delight — that is a go-to comfort food for many, especially paired with a bowl of soup.
