For The Best Chicken Wings, Treat Your Gas Grill Like An Oven

While there are tons of tips you can use to grill succulent chicken wings, treating your gas grill like an oven and cooking your chicken with indirect heat is an important one.
To cook your wings all the way through, keep them on the cooler side of the grill and away from the heat source, then close the lid of the grill to let the hot air circulate.
The revolving heat will gradually bring the wings up to temperature. Direct heat, on the contrary, can overcook the exterior before the inside has a chance to catch up.
Your wings might take longer (about 30 minutes) to cook when you use indirect heat, but you'll get juicy (and more importantly, fully cooked) wings by the time you're finished.
If you prefer the charred marks, place the wings on direct heat for three to five minutes until they have grill marks on them before transferring them to the indirect heat side.
