Don't Spoil Your Whiskey With This Storage Mistake

Like most liquors, it’s ideal to store your whiskey in a cool and dry area. However, make sure you store it in such a way that the liquor is not in constant contact with its cork.
When whiskey is constantly soaking the cork of its bottle, it slowly disintegrates the cork. This can cause an improper seal, resulting in your whiskey evaporating more quickly.
Additionally, the soaked cork material will end up as residue in your whiskey. On the contrary, dry corks can lead to an improper seal as well, causing avoidable oxidation.
Storing your whiskey upright in a closed cupboard or cabinet is the best way to avoid all of these problems, as long as you soak the cork every now and then to keep the balance.
