The fishmongers stationed at Whole Foods' seafood department aren't just there to hand you fish. They can devein shrimp, crack crabs, and custom cut and debone fish at no charge.
If you're wondering about the source of your fish, they can let you know how your item was caught or raised and where it came from, and can even recommend recipes to use.
Some locations even season your fish for you, though not all stores do this. Those at the seafood counter can also advise you on the best-suited techniques for cooking your fish.
At participating stores, you might be able to pay a fee for them to do the cooking for you. Whole Foods can even special order fish, as long as it's up to standard and in season.
