Do You Ever Need To Worry About Alcohol Going Bad?

Nothing kills the appetite like spoiled food or beverages. When it comes to alcohol, knowing if they've gone bad gets tricky and can depend on the specific type of alcohol.
First, determine whether the alcohol in question is fermented or distilled. Fermented ones can spoil if they're under 20% ABV, as bacteria can sprout in these drinks.
Meanwhile, once distillation is employed, the alcoholic environment is no longer hospitable to foreign growth. As a result, spirits don't spoil and can be stored indefinitely.
However, if these drinks are exposed to oxygen, the alcohol content may evaporate and oxidative reactions can occur that will deteriorate their flavor over time.
