Cook A Ton More Bacon At Once With A Simple Twist

If your pan becomes too crowded while cooking bacon, it can result in uneven doneness. Additionally, cooking in batches may lead to the first batch being colder than the last.

Twisting the bacon strips into spirals can alleviate these issues. Wider twists offer more airflow, yielding bacon’s typical texture, but you can make them looser or tighter.

For baking, place the twisted strips on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 20 minutes, depending on your oven and the preferred doneness.

Alongside offering ample space for cooking, this twisting hack also gives the bacon strips a very interesting blend of textures, providing crispy edges and a chewier, meaty center.
