Cherry and grape tomatoes, often mistaken for each other, differ in shape, texture, and flavor; cherry tomatoes are small, round, soft, and sweet.
On the other hand, grape tomatoes are oblong, meatier, chewier, and have less juice. Their thicker skins have a longer shelf life than cherry tomatoes.
Cherry tomatoes have a much sweeter and crisper flavor profile. They originate from South America while grape tomatoes are from Southeast Asia.
Both tomatoes are available year-round and are rich in vitamins A and C. They come in a variety of colors, like red, pink, brown, orange, and green.
