10. Green Giant

Like the name suggests, Green Giant steam crisp style corn is steamed in the can, which means it doesn't have as much moisture as you would expect.
The corn is tender and sweet and works best when added to other dishes. It's also one of the most expensive options out there at $2.79 for a small 11-ounce can.

9. The Fresh Market

The Fresh Market’s organic whole kernel corn is very sweet and has a firmer texture than other brands of corn, more closely resembling corn on the cob.
Expect an average taste with plenty of saltiness with this corn, which makes the high cost of $2.99 for a 15-ounce can hard to justify, despite being organic.

8. Hanover

This sweet corn has a mushy texture and is saltier in taste than other brands, giving it a bland taste rather than the fresh, balanced flavor you'd get from fresh corn.
Once you open the can, you'll need to use it within three or four days. With a 39-ounce can (that costs $3.29), you might find yourself not being able to use it all.

7. O Organics

At $1.99 for a 15-ounce can, this corn is a good value if sustainability and avoiding synthetic pesticides are important to you. However, the taste is nothing special.
O Organics uses whole-kernel corn, which is great if you want to serve the corn on its own. It keeps its shape whether you heat it in the microwave or on the stove.

6. Happy Harvest

This corn's firm texture keeps it from being mushy or watery. It's sweet thanks to a little bit of salt added, but you won't get a strong salty taste.
It only costs $0.63 for a 15-ounce can. You can get two or three times as much corn for the same price that you would pay for a single can of a more expensive brand.
