Al Capone may have been a ruthless gangster, but he also enjoyed cooking at home, and his favorite dish was spaghetti with walnut sauce. In fact, it may have been his last meal.
After Al Capone served eight months in prison in 1929 to 1930, his mother made him spaghetti with walnut sauce for his first meal home. She also brought him pasta dishes in jail.
Al Capone developed dementia after getting out of prison and died on January 25, 1947 in his Miami Beach home. Capone may have wanted a comforting meal during his final days.
The YouTube channel "The Last Supper" alleges spaghetti with walnut sauce was his final meal, but doesn't provide evidence. In reality, he likely had a clear broth on his deathbed.
