Spinach, Chive and Cream Cheese sauce
1 cup of sauce to be used as you like. Easy

Ingredients (5)

  • 250g - Baby spinach
  • 125g - Cream cheese
  • 50g - Fresh garlic chives
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

A very versatile, delicate sauce. Goes well with smoked trout, sole,etc.


  1. 1Wilt fresh spinach with 1/4 cup of water in a sauce pan, for two minutes. Set aside.
  2. 2Chop fresh garlic chives, place in a bowl with hand held blender or food processor.
  3. 3Place cream cheese, chives, lemon juice into blender and whiz.
  4. 4Add wilted spinach to blender/food processor, leaving water/juice in sauce pan to be discarded. Salt and pepper to taste.
