Ingredients (4)

  • your favorite yellow cake
  • one box of instant chocolate pudding
  • one box of instant vanilla pudding
  • enough ice cold milk to put together each box of pudding

This recipe is so easy, a fifth grader could do it. I should know. I was the fifth grader who invented it when I baked a cake to only discover that I didn’t have frosting or powdered sugar to make frosting.

Instructions

  1. 1Buy or make your yellow cake
  2. 2Follow the directions on the side of the box to make the two batches of instant pudding.
  3. 3While the instant pudding chills in the fridge, slice horizontally through the yellow cake.
  4. 4Slather on the vanilla pudding on top of the bottom slice of cake.
  5. 5Place the top slice on top of the pudding.
  6. 6Cover the entire cake with chocolate pudding and chill in the fridge until ready to serve —at least an hour.
