Poe's Finnish (Yes, it's spelled correctly!)

I was learning to make martinis with a friend, but I had no vermouth. I did, however, have a bottle of Amontillado sherry. Coupled with Finlandia vodka and citrus, it turned out to be out of this world!

The name, by the way, is an allusion to Poe’s “Cask of the Amontillado” and the country of origin of the vodka.

Instructions

  1. 1Fill cocktail shaker with crushed ice
  2. 2Add Amontillado, shake, and drain
  3. 3Add vodka, shake vigorously, and strain into a martini glass
  4. 4Spritz drink by folding peel over the glass
  5. 5Garnish with curled peel
