Here is our perfect egg experiment: boil time for a very soft egg is 3 minutes and 30 seconds. For soft egg is 4 minutes and 10 seconds. And for hard egg is 6 minutes. We use standard small eggs for this recipe.
It may seem weird to call for a cooking time down to the second, but bear in mind that the temperature difference between a creamy yolk and a solid one is a mere 8°F. These will turn out perfect every time.
