Negroni
by

Award-winning cocktail chemist Matt Seigel, formerly of Eleven Madison Park and NoMad, shows us how to make a perfect Negroni. With only three ingredients, balance is key—and so is a nice, cold glass. Be sure to pop your Old Fashioned glasses in the freezer ahead of time, and the rest is easy. Check out some Negroni variations too.
Ingredients
- 1 ounce London Dry gin
- 1 ounce Carpano Antica sweet vermouth
- 1 ounce Campari
- Orange twist, for garnishing
Instructions
-
1Into each pre-chilled glass, pour the gin, vermouth, and Campari.
-
2Fill each glass with large ice cubs. Adding the ice last prevents over-dilution of the alcohol.
-
3Stir gently to combine, and garnish with the orange twist.
