Gin and Tonic
by
CHOW Editors
The G and T has become the dominant warm-weather gin cocktail, maybe because it’s one of the simplest: just gin, tonic water, and an aromatic boost from a lime wedge. Variations on the gin and tonic include taking it Barcelona style. And if you want to try making your own spiced tonic water, go for it.
Ingredients
- Ice
- 2 or 3 ounces London dry gin
- 1 lime wedge
- 4 ounces tonic water
Instructions
-
1Take a chilled Old Fashioned glass and fill halfway with ice cubes. Add the gin (2 ounces for a standard drink, 3 ounces for a stiff one).
-
2Rub the lime wedge around the rim of the glass, squeeze in a few drops of juice, and drop the lime into the glass.
-
3Top with the tonic, give it a quick stir, and serve.
