PREVIOUS: Rémoulade Spread NEXT: Bacon-topped cheesy chicken breasts

Ingredients (7)

  • 1/2 jar Real Bacon Bits not the imitation kind
  • 1 can water chestnuts, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese grated
  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped
  • 4 oz sliced almonds
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

This spread is a favorite whenever I take it to a party or make it for my family. No one can ever name all the ingredients but it’s really simple to make.

It’s best at room temperature so you can taste the cheese and I call it a spread becuase you need to serve it with a spreading knife. Needs assorted crackers or toasts.

Instructions

  1. 1Mix all ingredients together.
  2. 2You can add red pepper flakes to spice it up and also more cheese if you like.
  3. 3The consistency will be sort of dry but more mayo can also be added if you want.
