Reasons not to drink eggnog: too heavy, too fattening, too scary (raw eggs). But contributor Camper English found a pretty good substitute, the Chai Rum Elixir at San Francisco’s (now closed) Medjool restaurant. We’ve adapted it a bit to suit our tastes, and here present the Medjool-inspired Chai Rum Not-Nog.

Instructions

  1. 1Fill a tall collins glass with ice. Add the spiced rum, then the vanilla chai. Stir in the heavy cream, and serve.
