Aperol is an Italian aperitif made from a host of aromatic and tannic ingredients, including bitter orange, gentian, rhubarb, and cinchona bark. It’s similar to Campari, only milder, less bitter, and with half as much alcohol. If you love a good Negroni and a good twist, try some other Negroni cocktail recipes too.
- 1 ounce gin
- 1 ounce sweet vermouth
- 1 ounce Aperol
- Lemon twist, for garnishing
1Pour the gin, vermouth, and Aperol into a chilled Old Fashioned glass over ice.
2Garnish with the lemon twist and serve.
