I have read a lot of the info here but none really answers my question. I need the Best Maui Restaurant with Great View preferable outside seating and has many non fish entrees. Looking to have one outstanding dinner on Maui in the Kaanapali, Lahaina, Kapalua area with outside dining, great view and there needs to be many non seafood dishes on the menu. FYI we have read Kathryn's posts. Merimans looks good but only 5 non seafood dishes and no chicken. Do they have specials? 3 out of 4 people going do not eat any type of fish. Thanks.

I am going to Maui in february, looking for our one very upscale restaurant with outdoor dining that has many options beyond fish. Suggestions?

Hi all, we are taking the kids to the Bronx Zoo tomorrow and are planning to go over to arthur ave afterward and had a few questions. some of the posts here on the topic are a little old so I wanted to see if any new people or even old veterans would chime in on some topics.

I was doing some research and saw that the covered market might be a good place to start after coming out of the zoo as there are 12 pretty good vendors in there. Any comments?

How far is the zoo from the actual arthur avenue?
Is parking going to be a problem is I come out of the zoo around 3 and try to find parking?
I have lived in brooklyn as a child and now in NJ and have not been to arthur ave, in my adult life I am going to have about 2-3 hours before things start closing down, what are the must hits? We are planning to bring a cooler and put food into the car to keep safe until we go home.

I was thinking it would be a good idea to try to not drive home from there at 5 on a friday night so we were thinking of eating dinner there. So where would you go if you had to have one meal there and are not coming back for a long while. I am italian and a very good cook in my own rite so basic red sauce and ckn parm is not what I am looking for. But that's good for the kids.

Thanks in advance

Roger

got eppes essen in livingston. Best corned beef and pastrami around. We had two of our kids birthday parties here. They have a private room and its not expensive. It has really turned around in the past 5 years.

Sorry, thought I mentioned it. I am in Livingston. So any aread around there. East Hanover, roseland, fairfield, chatham. Those types of areas.

Hello all. My sister wants a 40th birthday party for about 50 people with dinner and dancing. We are italian so italian food is best. Nice appetizers, private room. Its going to be on Sunday from 12-4 so most restauratns would be closed. Need space to dance and they won't mind a DJ. Bring your own is preferrable obviously. $50-60 a head.

I am going to look at David Allen on saturday he has a nice room the warehouse. Also I can just get a room and have it catered, another option.

Anyone.???

Thanks.

Hi folks. My sister is getting married and the grooms family wants to take everyone to brunch. I know in my area (livingston) that the short hills hilton is the best but its too pricey. Where else is a good reasonable bruch? I have not been out to brunch in years. Looking forward to your replies.

Hi, I am in charge of my future brother in law's bachelor party, he wants to go to AC. I am looking for a good casino recommendation (we are staying over). Something that's in walking distance to all the "Hot Spot" and a good restaurant to go to. I know there are a lot of new celebrity chef restaurants and some other hot ones. Anything you can suggest would be helpful. We are also looking for a good up scale strip club to take him to.

Thanks in advance for your assistance

Hi all. My family and I will be coming to disney for the week 3/10-3-14. While we have booked a couple of dinners with the characters our other nights are wide open. Looking for some good restaurants in the area, kid friendly and that mom and dad "chow" can enjoy also. A couple of upscale recommendations would be great as well as the middle of the road places. Thanks in advance for what I know will be great advice.

i have been to Becco, which was good. They have all you can eat pasta for around 20$ and no bottle of wine over 20$. I have not heard that many good things about felidia, my father went there and he was not impressed. I will tell you the best italian meal in NYC I have had recently was at Limpero in tutor city.

Here is the web site.

The chef is a james beard award winner and it was fabulous.

My wife and I are going to Jean George on sept 8th for our anniversay. I do not eat any sea food. Who has been and what are the best things to order.?

you want great ribs? rub some baby backs with your favorite dry rub and wrap them in foil and let them sit over night. When ready to serve the next day, put them in a 300 degree over for 3 hours. Take them out and let them rest. Put them on a hot grill, get them crispy and then slather on the sauce, if you like sauce. These are the best ribs I have ever had.

Non stick cookware should be one or two pieces of your collection, the rest should be 18/10 stainless, I hear that all the time. Obviously for making potatoes, or eggs, non stick is OK but you cannot make a good pan sauce from a non stick skillet, don't waste your money on non stick even though 80% of cookware sold in america is non stick, no one were smart, it should be the other way around.

My family and our friends will be going to wildwood for a week rental end of summer. Can anyone recommend good restaurants in that area? I know it maybe much to ask but I don't eat sea food so something with a good mix is preferred.

Thanks

My wife and I went to Nappa for my 40th birthday. We had dinner reservations at 8pm on friday april 27 at 8. We got there and the place was crowded, tables are right on top of eachother for two people. We were seated ordered wine and salad, soup and entrees. The salad came before the wine and the water. The waitress did not ask us how things were once. The steak frittes was ordered medium rare, but came rare. Everyone around us was getting a free plate of cookies after their meal, not us, guess our great waitress forgot. Check sat on the table over 5 minutes waiting for someone to process it. Very bad experience. We were staying at a lovely bed and breakfast in nappa and told the people there what happened they said they were thinking of going there but won't now. You would think that for a Thomas Kellerman restaurant this would be better, but I guess when he's getting 250 a person at the other two restaurants he can let this place slide. I suggest you stay away from here.
