How big a batch of soy yogurt do you make at a time? i don't eat a lot of yogurt and would hate to waste it, but it sounds more economical than buying the single serving containers!

Silk is offering soy yogurt now, it's very tasty. It comes in 3 flavors so far, peach mango, strawberry and blueberry. I've gotten it at whole foods and wegmans here in the philadelphia area. it's not as sweet as Whole Soy. It's a very nice addition to my morning smoothies.

My husband's signature is to flip off whoever is taking his photo... usually pretty subtly. it's kind of like where's waldo... where's Chris' finger? lol

I have a cousin who is so addicted to taking pictures I was surprised her kid's first word wasn't "cheese"... andyes she documents every moment of family gatherings and yes I hate pictures taken while I eat and YES I finally un-followed her on facebook before I said bad things. ;)

so far only chicken livers... I'm the only one who eats liver in my house, so DH puts a little piece of foil on the grill with the liver on it, and smokes it for about 30 minutes. delish!

oh thanks so much for posting this! We are going "home" in October with friends. I would LOVE to take cooking classes there. :)

Did you find Gypsy Blu to be very loud? We are having dinner Saturday with the in laws and would prefer someplace relatively quiet.

We were using I can't believe it's not butter until recently, it reminded me of country crock in flavor. Now we use Land o Lakes Light butter with canola oil. I think the flavor's really good.

I haven't tried earth spectrum. my mother uses smart balance and I think it's disgusting.

this. it had no relevance to the story, the OP could have just stated that there was a "guy" sitting down the bar instead of calling out a physical attribute.

on to the original topic, when we lived in VA, if the restaurant had a bar area smoking was allowed in that area, but not in the restaurant area.

how hot should coffee be at brewing FrankT? I'm honestly curious, not being a smarty pants.

I have no complaints regarding the temperature level of the coffee from the Zojirushi, and have found that it is still pleasantly hot a couple hours after brewing.

We've lived in blue bell for 10 years now. I think four or five restaurants have failed in that space in those years. perhaps we will see something...ummm... NOT Italian??? It seems that most of those failed restaurants were Italian of one iteration or another, IIRC.

well, it lasted 3 years... i drove by yesterday and the sign is gone, the landscaping torn up and the parking lot roped off. I wonder why it's so difficult to keep a restaurant going on that corner! There was a sign out front about Ristorante Castello, but I didn't get to read the whole thing.

while not as entertaining as all the critter stories, I have had an epic flood... woke up one morning to hear water running and found a COLD puddle on the kitchen floor. Opened the freezer door and it was like a cartoon wave of freezing water rushing out! the solenoid valve had broken in the ice maker and had been filling for goodness knows how many hours!

so... is picking bunches of grapes that are not browning from several bags and putting them all in one bag gross? because at our market that's the only way I'm going to get a decent bag of grapes.

we had a GREAT brunch today at Brigs in Durham, it's one of our favorites since they moved there.

my husband is a tried and true charcoal man... as a compromise between my desire for faster grilling and his desire for charcoal, we got a Weber with a gas starter. it's awesome.
