Sorry about the delayed response. I was with three kids so some of the places may not match up but we ate very well.

The Love Apple was my Wife and I's favorite meal -- not super kid friendly but they were very accommodating. It's in an old church with a beautiful setting and keep in mind it's wine and beer only.

Orlando's is the classic New Mexican place that you have to go to & Michael's for breakfast and their combo of green chili and eggs is the best.

Also did Lamberts for lunch and was very much on par with the Love Apple.

Those were the noteworthy places we went and it's been a little while so hopefully I'm not leaving anything out. The brewery also has good food but not quite as good as above although they have great beer and it's a good place to hang out and listen to music.

Thanks for all the recs. I wish I could stay for a week.

One more question -- I'm looking for a pre-theatre meal on Saturday. I would love to do ToroShin, and while I think my kids could find something to eat there, I don't want to be too out of place in a place that probably won't have any other kids there.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for the info, everyone.

They are 10, 7 & 5 -- we are staying in midtown but will be near Central Park, Greenwich and Empire State areas throughout the trip.

Booked a family trip to NYC with my wife and three kids in early October. Would like to go to a nice Italian restaurant that is somewhat family friendly -- my kids are adventurous eaters but I'm not sure they could handle a 7 course tasting menu. We only have Balthazar right when we get in town for an early lunch plus Momofuku Noodle Bar Fried Chicken dinner at 5:30.

Also, want to get them some pizza. There are so many good pizza options it's a little overwhelming but I'm sure we can find something.

Anything else that we shouldn't miss? I haven't been in a decade.

Heading to Telluride in late June in tow with my wife and three kids ranging between 5-10.

I'm looking for can't miss spots for meals -- preferably a place I can grab a cocktail. The kids will all get adventurous with food for the most part so we are good in that regard. We are still deciding on staying downtown (my preference) or in the mountains.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks for the quick response. Curate was definitely on my list -- glad to hear it's good because the menu looks awesome.

Does Chai Pani live up to the hype?

Heading to Asheville in a few weeks for three days -- I have three kids but they aren't afraid of interesting food. What are some good kid (at least kind of) friendly restaurants.

I'll be staying in the downtown area. Walking would preferred since I would like to have a few drinks wherever we go.

Any input is appreciated.

Heading to Sylva for two days after so if anyone has any insight there that would be great.

My wife and I have a sitter for our kids for one night and are trying to figure out what restaurant to go to. We've narrowed it down to the following:

The Compound

Coyote Cafe

Restaurant Martin

Eloisa

La Boca

Geronimo

Also, would any of these be kid appropriate for lunch?

I'm heading to Santa Fe for the first time with my family in March - my wife and three kids ages 4-9.

We'll be there 3 nights and I need some restaurant and a brewery rec or two. The kids are good eaters for the most part and we'll try anything but definitely want some traditional New Mexican places and definitely need places that serve booze.

We are staying at the Inn and Spa at Loretto so we are close to the Plaza and Canyon street but will definitely hop in an uber if a place is worth it.

The only thing we are locked in for is The Shed for dinner one night and we were considering taking a day trip to Rancho de Chimayo

any input is much appreciated

I'm heading to Houston with my family between Christmas and NYE to visit my grandparents.

I think we are staying downtown (but are also considering galleria) and we were looking for two dinner and one lunch spot.

For dinner I was thinking Underbelly and Hugo -- my question is are they family friendly? Kids are elementary school aged and have been to nice restaurants...

Also, looking for something a little more geared towards kid tastes for lunch that would be fun for them. We are wide open and would appreciate any recs.

Any advice on what part of town would be appreciated too. I haven't been to Houston in years

Thanks

I think we are going with Death in the Afternoon -- I'm still probably going to hit up the brewery for a beer or two

Does anyone know if they take reservations? I called but they are closed until tomorrow

Thanks for all the input.

We do have a car and will be driving on to eat Friday but on Saturday I'd like to have e a few beers and be able to walk around.

Schafly Tap Room sounds like a good call -- I like their beer but I think the wife may prefer DITA or Blondie's

Thanks again

I'm looking for a good lunch spot near the City Museum. I'll be with three kids who are all pretty good eaters -- I'd like to go somewhere I could grab a beer or a glass of wine but if there is something outstanding that doesn't that I'll opt for food...

Thanks

I'm taking a family weekend with wife and kids and looking for a great meal but I do have three kids. They're usually well behaved and such but I also understand that they can be loud and don't want to feel like I'm bothering everyone.

We are pretty open to cuisine style -- good food is the most important thing.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sure this is a question y'all are tired of answering

but I'm coming in with a group in March -- we had some of our friends that were going to set up a crawfish boil for us but plans changed and they can no longer do it.

What's a good spot for crawfish boils in season? Does yo mama's still do them?

Thanks for all the input everyone. I'm going to research the suggestions this weekend

I'm probably going to eat and drink way too much where ever I go...

That's a good idea. My only reservation is that I'll be with my luggage.

I've been to Leon's before and the bar that serves Tittle Pop (can't remember the name). I would love to check out Cakes and Ales

Outside the airport. I'd prefer to stay in the city if possible but would go to Decatur or somewhere comparable -- don't want to go too far north though.

Price doesn't really matter -- most of the extremely high priced places like Bacchanalia probably wouldn't want me squatting there for 4 hours anyway.

I'm wide open as far as cuisine goes as it's good and I can sit at their bar and drink for a long time. Sorry for not being more specific...

I'll have my luggage with me as well

I have kind of an odd request for info.

I'm flying into Atlanta in a few weeks and will have 4-5 hours to grab a meal and some drinks before I get picked up and taken to rural Georgia for a wedding.

I'm looking for a recommendation for a restaurant with good food that I can go sit at the bar eat/drink from about 3:30 - 7:30.

Food is probably the most important factor but I also don't want to be somewhere that is stuffy since I'll be logging a lot of time there by myself.

Any help is appreciated

We are wide open -- could be fine dining or casual we just want something good.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Is there anywhere on 30A that does Cobia? I'm sure there are but just can't think of anywhere -- Smiling Fish used to offer it in season and it was excellent but they closed down.

Thanks

Any good recommendations for somewhere I could "take-out" food from for a bridesmaid luncheon?

The bride doesn't want to have it at a restaurant and wants to do it at the hotel everyone is staying at (Renaissance downtown).

Not sure what we are thinking -- maybe chicken salad, fruit, etc... nothing too heavy and it won't be for a big crowd.

Any recommendations are appreciated.

I'm heading to Chicago for a bachelor party the third weekend in May and am looking for a place that could accommodate 8-10; is lively but the food is great and preferably meat-centric. I was thinking maybe Publican but I haven't been to this great city since 2011 so I don't know what changes, what's new, etc...

Also, I'm looking at all you can eat/drink rooftops for a cubs game on Friday or Saturday. I can't remember the one I did a few years ago but it seemed like a good deal (around $100 or so) and it was a great time.

Thanks in advance for any input.

I'm going for a wedding in a few months and need some food suggestions. Staying at the Renaissance downtown so walking or short cab would be preferred but willing to travel if the food is worth it.

I'm not looking for anything in particular I just want to the food to be good and would prefer alcohol

Thanks

Going with a group of 4. We will probably be boozing pretty heavily -- I only say that because a louder place would probably be a good thing but food is the most important factor.

Also, are all these places pretty casual as far as attire is concerned?

Peche

SoBou

Sylvain

Thanks for any input

Going to be in Dallas for a wedding next week and needed a recommendation for a fine dining restaurant in the Park Cities area.

Thursday is our only free day and will be going with my 22 year old cousin so I'm not sure how adventerous she is. Price isn't an object -- just want it to be excellent.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
