You are SO wrong about Pyles, he is the most forwards thinking chef in the State of Texas today. Fearings is good, but not as good as Pyles.
Dallas has a Spiral Diner too. I use to go there with the SO and it wasn't bad.
You never go wrong with the fish special, just ask your waiter.
SMOKE is the best hands down! The Big Rib is enough for two but you won't want to share!
Put Houstons at the top of the list. Everybody loves Houstons but for the same money you can go to Neighborhood Services and its way better. I've got your back on Nonna, Scagnetti. That place wouldn't last a month in CA or NY. I gotta put Wingfields on here too, I went there twice and it sucked on both

Roscoe's is da bomb! Sorry big D but nothing here compares.
God why didn't I think of that. That is the best. Neiman has a killer lobster bisque too
Food Czar is right on about Fireside. Best pizza in Dallas. Food Czar e is with the Dallas Observer
Gotta give a plug for the gaspacho at Dallas Chophouse. Try it and you will thank me!
Brownstone is the hotness! Its Casey Thompson of Top Chef's restaurant and is getting buzz all over the metroplex
Do you think there are 800 tourists there every night? They are locals, because they know what cheese enchiladas are all about.
You must have the foie gras and chicken liver terrine at SMOKE. The chef there used to be at Stephen Pyles so he knows his way with foie gras, you can be sure!
Mansion only had like three or four courses on the tasting menu and they're small. You will be much happier Sneeb at Stephen Pyles or Abacus.
Neiman's, why didn't I think of that?! That is exactly the kind of rec I was hoping for!
This is easy, Joe T's. They make great Tex Mex in Texas and it is where all the locals go.
Twin hit the nail on the head. Theres really no choice but SAMAR. We haven't been to FUEGO yet and I am sure it is fantastic, but its also very expensive for a kid. SAMAR is reasonable and let's you see worldclass chefs up close when you sit at the bar.
If you want to take your huaband somewhere nice, you must go to SAMAR. They have a world class chef who researched in Lebanon and Morocco and the hookah patio is killer!
I LOVE chicken salad but only if it's great. The best I have had in Dallas is at SMOKE. Is there any better chicken salad or chicken salad sanadwich in Dallas?
Dallas Dude said it. SMOKE is better than ever. Bolsa is the restaurant York Street wants to be. Hattie's is the best southern restaurant in town. Don't forget DUDE SWEET CHOCOLATES while your there because they are unbelievable. Bishop Arts is THE hot spot now.

Steven Pyles, end of story. Go for the ceviche tastingn and you will thank me!
We wen t there once and couldn't eat anything because of the smell from the fingernail place nextdoor.
You really must try NOBU Pgwiz1. The service has alwasy been outstanding for us as the fish was too.
See what Dallas Dude said. He SAW them making the tortillas.
You really must try the burger at SMOKE, Dallas Dude. They bread and deep fat fry the egg before they put it on th burger. You can barely gat it in your mouth! Decadent!
I wwent there today and their menu says WE MAKE OUR OWN TORTILLAS RIGHT HERE. You don't call that an indicator?
Stephen Pyles FTW! Abacus is ok but its a lot of Asian fusion you can get anywhere. Stephen Pyles is Texas all the way!
