Thanks, probably won't eat at Poubelle anytime soon! Prizzi's is good, though. It is pretty disapointing to live near all these places, but to not want to eat at them!!

Always get the double dip. Did they ever serve au jus with their sandwiches? I don't remember seeing that before. Also, get the baked apple when it's in season.

La Poubelle is in my neighborhood, I really really want to like it, but everytime I go there I get turned off by the super rude staff and waaaay overpriced drinks. ($10 for Absolut, at least a dollar more than some of the most expensive places in town!) I'm not cheap, but I've also worked in bars, and know the difference between "markup" and "screwing the customers over". The food looks pretty good, I've never stayed there long enough to try it, just wondering if I should give it a go, or not even bother. I don't mind paying a lot for good food, and I can deal with attitude, but I don't want to have to do both of those things together. Thanks, CH's!

The patio is great (I'm a smoker). It is very dark and romantic. The drinks are more memorable than the food. Plan on it being a looong night--the last time I was there they made us wait an entire hour AFTER our reservation time. (And there were only two of us!) The service is so-so, the food is so-so, my "dinner" was a three hour tour...but nonetheless, I really like it there. You really do feel like you're in an intimate Parisan bistro.

It's not a very large restaurant, so it's not hard to notice that the owners attitude toward her staff and clientele is, like their food, inconsistant and all over the place.

I don't know, Dusty's is pretty lame. Overpriced, inconsistent, and the owner is nuts. Millie's is good, but VERY casual. If Cliff's Edge does a brunch, I'd go there.

House of Blues in Downtown Disney. Very corporate and homogonized, but whatever. Pretty good.

I love Bossa Nova!! The coaxinha app is my fave, but sometimes they run out. The daily veggie (vegan!) soup is a-may-zing, as are the salads. I get a side of plantains, and order them more on the burnt side, so they are extra sticky. My dad has been trying to get the recipe for the beef stroganoff for years, so if anyone can help....Also, I used to get delivery all the time, when I lived in West Hollywood, but haven't ordered since I moved, because I figured I'm now out of their delivery zone. But I just read a comment that mentioned that Bossa Nova delivers to a very wide area. Does anyone know if they will deliver to Beachwood Canyon?

And, although I agree that the bread at Osteria Mozza is incredibly good, I feel like it's a bit dense and heavy to have before a meal. Especially that meal. I want to scrape my plate, and still be able to get the olive oil gellato and rosemary cakes for dessert!!

I've eaten at Largo many, many times (I think it was the only way to get a table), and I got to say, I kind of loved the Honey Chicken. But anyway. That's neither here nor there. Try Sona, across the street from the new Largo. Asian fusion, tasting menus, maybe kind of $$$. Or, for something more casual, there's the food court at the Beverly Center. The baked ziti at Sbarro is outstanding, and they just added a KFC Express. Just kidding. But there is a CPK, and a Grand Lux on the street level. Inexpensive, quick-ish, and they serve booze.

I heart burgers. Here's some of my faves...
25 Degrees, at the Roosevelt. Really great toppings, super juicy, high quality meat, great bun (if a little greasy), dipping sauces are awesome, also, you can get a half fries, half onion rings if you can't decide.

Applepans, only had it once, but I remember it fondly.

Irv's Burgers, on Santa Monica and Sweetzer. Good burgers, crappy fries, and the friendliest service in town.

The Village Cafe, Beachwood Canyon, had a burger there the other day, and I gotta say, it was great!! Really tasted like a backyard barbeque burger.

And lastly, when I'm hungover, McDonalds.

Definitely Cobras and Matadors...Thin, crispy, super salty with great dipping sauces. They're perfect!

There's that Brazillian place on La Cienega, Fogo De Chao, and they have these super light, airy little cheese popovers. Yummy. Also.....The hot sourdough loaf with garlic butter at The Old Spaghetti Factory is delish. But it closed down.

Yeah, I went there.
