even though i'm not a big coffee drinker, i stopped in to tahoe roasting because i had heard they had good food. i stopped in for lunch and was definitely impressed by their great prices and the fact that everything is home-made... even the soups are made from scratch (and only a couple of bucks!).
the first thing i noticed was the art on the walls. the barista told me that the artist whose paintings they are displaying is making them a new sign soon that is going to be "green" because its powered by solar panels and made out of all used scrap metal, which i thought was cool. (by the way, if you ever wanted to know anything about coffee, talk to tommy, the barista, because he's like a coffee encyclopedia!)
even though i don't really drink a lot of coffee, i decided to get a white coffee, which is made out of unraosted coffee beans. tommy did some cool latte art on top with chocolate syrup- it looked like an intricate flower- it was so cool and still cheaper than the other coffee shops in downtown reno. i definitely recommend this place- i spent hours in there using the free wi-fi!
