It’s called Matcha. It is in fact a real type of green tea. And it’s a very common tea in Japan. Matcha is very different from regular green tea, it has a more earthy, vegetal taste so that’s why some may not like it too much. As far as I know the latte has no chemicals in it. I believe it is just matcha tea, milk or cream, and a bit of sugar.
