By the way, this is a great source for tracking products that are coming off shelves, although it is by NO MEANS complete! (Seems they get tipoffs from store managers who receive direct info about product rotations) https://www.instagram.com/traderjoest...

And, aside from seasonal introductions & pullbacks, there are also shortages & contract issues that the store doesn't really announce much. The 2020 Spiced Ale was in very short supply & disappeared from stores much more quickly than anyone expected; TJ Organic Mayo now is being substituted with a non-store squeeze bottle organic brand, and it's unclear when the original is coming back. I'm sure the list goes on. New products arrive all the time, though.

That must be incredibly frustrating. Frozen is going to be hard to get from another supermarket seller.

I tend to sometimes order dry goods from Amazon and decided to look this up, and this was one of the more conveniently packaged options at the general price-per-ounce cost of $5 https://www.amazon.com/Mycological-Dr... (somewhere in my search results, I saw a powdered option from another manufacturer)

I know Amazon suggestions don't help any customers who don't have Prime or who object to their treatment of everyone/anyone, but I figured I'd throw that out there. I did look it up on Penzey's but didn't come up with anything. Kalustyan's did have some porcini options: search at https://foodsofnations.com/

TJs in NYC has started cycling into the stores a new kind of packed "fresh" salmon (well, it's pre-frozen but then thawed for the store) in a vacuum-pack instead of in the usual plastic wrap-and-shell packaging. Everything about the packaging looks different, including the fact that the fillets are large pieces and not several small/cut pieces. They may have changed providers entirely.

It appears a casualty of this change has been the availability of the Herb Dijon Salmon. There isn't a similar option in the new packaging, and the older item hasn't been seen in the stores in a few weeks. There are people asking about it on Twitter. Looks to be a goner.
