What do you do with your lemon verbena? We planted some in our herb garden because my kids liked the smell and now we have a TON. Haven't done a single thing with it yet.

I want to say a big THANK YOU for sharing this dish. I made a few subs based on kid preferences, but it was a HUGE hit with our whole crowd. I made a test batch to see if the pasta and veg could hold up to 24 hours dressed, and it totally did. My husband liked it better the second day. I used finely diced carrots and yellow bell peppers, plus the cherry tomatoes, as the veggies. Basil instead of dill. Grated Parm instead of the feta. The dressing was amazing. THANK YOU!

I was actually considering making the dressing separate and then tossing it all shortly before dinner.

Just mixing the pasta and veggies and then having the dressing in a ziplock?

Coleslaw sounds pretty good as well though, some healthiness to balance the beat and sugar.

That looks amazing! This is just the sort of recipe I am looking for! Thank you so much!

Hello! My family and I are going camping next week with two other families for 4th of July. We signed up to provide dinner the first night. We are going to bring marinated flank steak and hot dogs as the main. I am at a loss as to what to bring for a side with it. We will be leaving at 9am and not eating until dinner time, so it needs to be able to hang out in a cooler. Very little prep would be best. I was thinking a pasta salad would work great for this, but I haven't hit upon a recipe that seems right. We will have 6 adults and 5 kids with no dietary restrictions.

There will also be chips and s'mores and other fun 4th of July type food available.

Thanks!

These are a lot of really good ideas. Thank you so much. I have never tried a sheet pan dinner before, but I think I need to.

Thank you so much! I am definitely not completely against meat, I have just been trying to cut back to a few nights a week for budget and planet reasons. This is very helpful!

I am definitely on a from dried bean kick as well. The last sausage and bean dish I made I didn't like as much as I hoped. I think I am going to up the variety of veggies, peppers would definitely be a good addition to the recipe.

That is a great idea. I have been really slacking on my meal planning, and I think that is leading to part of my frustration.

I am going to go back through some old ones for inspiration. Thank you!

These are some great ideas! Thank you. Those green enchiladas sound great, and I need to start doing some different types of curries, I think.

My kids are super frustrating me lately. They are actually pretty good eaters, but the last two new recipes I have made they have all asked me never to make again. We are trying to cut back on meat, so we eat a lot of beans and lentils, which they do like most of the time. I am looking for any suggestions. I could just keep making the same stuff over and over again, but I really want to make something new. I am home for the summer (teacher) and love cooking, so would like to take this time to add some new foods to our regular rotation.

Here is what they saw their favorites are:
Chili, either with beef or without, they don't notice
Texas Pinto beans, as quesadillas (We have this once a week at their request.)
Cheeseburger Pasta
Bacon Chili Beans
Chicken Taco Soup

Ones they eat happily, but "aren't their favorites":
Red Lentil Curry with Kale
Chicken Chili Verde
Sausage and Lentil Stew

What they HAVEN'T LIKED AT ALL recently:
Beef Stew (seriously?)
Thug Kitchen Minestrone
A different bean and veggie soup that I can't remember, but even I thought it was totally boring.

I would appreciate any thoughts, ideas, inspiration. Thanks so much!
