We stopped by this morning and come away very impressed. The pancakes (apple & fosters) were top notch and we loved the noble syrup, especially the tahitian vanilla bean! Others tried the country and traditional eggs benedicts and really enjoyed them as well. We will be back to try more of the menu, especially the pastries and lunch options. The outdoor patio area will be nice come spring time. Hopefully the locals will support this place long term. That area of Henderson needs restaurants like this. Other than Metro pizza and valley wine & cheese, not much to draw the food loving local or tourist to that area of town!

I second Spago, underrated restaurant that has been performing at a high level for a long time. I believe they also have private dining upstairs. Sage is another place that comes to mind. Although, it has been a while since I have been. But, the menu was wide ranging and very wine friendly. Loved the decor of the place as well. Maybe someone else can provide a more recent report about Sage.

Brunch - Yardbird, Veranda and Mozen are my current favorites. Portofino should be at top of your list. The seabass and gnocchi w/sweetbreads are remarkable. Le Cirque impressed us again recently, the young chef is putting out some great food. Crab/caviar, seabass, chicken, vension, and vacherin dessert were the standouts. Try the white chocolate coffee bread, surprisingly delicious. Yui Sushi is opening this weekend and will probably be "the sushi" place to try in Las Vegas: http://www.yuisushi.com. Love Chada Thai - duck panang, crab curry, rib eye steak salad w/addictive chili/lime paste dressing, and pork rolls/w crab are regular orders for us.

I you like Lotus, then you should go to Chada Thai. Rose Rabbit Lie is my favorite spot in Cosmo. We did a bunch of small plates and cocktails. Milos for lunch is a great choice. Twist next door at the Mandarin is always an outstanding choice.

I have been waiting a long time for the return of Gen. Got reservations for Sat. 21 Nov. Will report back then. Hopefully, we will be getting some early reports from this weekend and next.

Went to Portofino tonight, it is an outstanding restaurant. I highly recommend the gnocchi, agnolotti and branzino.

Le Cirque. Been twice and loved the food, service, wine and atmosphere. From the latest reports (uhockey and eatinglv) it seems Le Cirque has never been better. It is definitely the best fine dining option at the Bellagio, unless you really want steak, then head over to Prime.

Top picks: Friday night Rose Rabbit Lie, Saturday night Twist and Sunday Brunch at MOzen. For steak I like Carnevino, Gordon Ramsay and Cut. Downtown has some nice options Glutton, Carson Kitchen, Eat and pickup up some Jinju Chocolates to enjoy later. Yonaka, Yardbird, Veranda (great brunch/breakfast) and Sweets Raku are places I take friends to.

I went Saturday night and was surprised to see how busy it was. I just happened to look at my Yelp bookmark and saw it was opened. Desyree is awesome, I will be going often to support her (since it is very close to my house). Love that dark chocolate sorbetto and want to try the liquid gelato.

I will chime in, since I went after reading ELV’s review. We had the filet w/bone marrow, prawns, salmon belly ceviche, scallop w/uni, shishito peppers and edamame. The filet w/bone marrow and salmon belly ceviche were good. Everything else was mediocre at best. The chef needs to stop with the truffle oil on everything! I am ok with it on edamame (it very small doses), but does it need to be on almost every dish? The prawns were very disappointing, overcooked and covered it the truffle butter sauce. It seems like the chef is trying too hard or just covering an inferior product with all the sauce/butter. If you supposedly have these great prawns, why not keep it simple?

The interior design was not the greatest either. It is a weird split design, with most seats not having a direct view of the specials board. If the server tells you to take a picture of the specials board before you sit down, you know you have failed in your seating layout. We might go back for a steak, but like uhockey we were underwhelmed by the place.

Have not been to Andrea's maybe others can chime in. I have not been to any of these but Fix, STK or Searsucker might be a good fit for what you are looking for. If you liked e maybe L'atelier at MGM?

David Clawson is a great off the strip restaurant. We have been four times and the food has never disappointed. It's just way out in Henderson and it's in a strip mall, so atmosphere is not the greatest. I do like the counter seats for watching all the action in the kitchen and interacting with the chefs. What type of food are you looking for?

Rose Rabbit Lie fits what you are looking for. It was one of the places we chose as locals to celebrate our anniversary (also went to Twist and Mozen for Sunday brunch). Cool atmosphere, good music and the restaurant is putting out some really great food. Really an under the radar type of place, gets lost with so many good restaurants here.
Check out uhockey's review of Rose Rabbit Lie -

I prefer Twist, but they are really close in my mind. Twist is more adventurous and I love the room/view. I also give a slight edge to Twist when it comes to wine and cocktails. I stayed at Cosmo recently and it is an easy walk to Twist from the Cosmo across the Harmon pedestrian bridge and down the escalators (wife made it in heels, quick 5 minute walk). If you have time, you should check out Rose Rabbit Lie in Cosmo, outstanding food and cocktails.

Thai - Lotus or Chada would be good for groups. Raku or Yonaka could be options if your group loves seafood. I also like the idea of Yardbird, that place is made for group dinners. Rose Rabbit Lie is another place that comes to mind. If you are looking for French, I think Twist is a great choice.

I heard it's still a go, but no timeline (Probably 2016 or 2017).

I agree with this list, but would add Mozen Bistro as another Sunday brunch option. The Easter brunch we had this weekend was outstanding. http://photos.mandarinoriental.com/is...

Kabuto, Raku, Yonaka and Omae. Kabuto would be my top choice. Bar Masa at Aria might be another option, but you will pay a lot more for same quality as Kabuto.

This thread needs a bump.

Finally got a chance to dine at David Clawson this past Friday night. Your review is spot on. We will be going again next Friday night! We shared 14 dishes and there was not really a dud to be found. They had 5 specials posted in addition to the updated menu found on their website. We tried two specials, bone marrow and pork barbacoa posole. The bone marrow was nice with pork belly and tangerine/onion jam. The pork posole was fantastic, I want that recipe! Other favorites were the veal cheek, foie gras, shrimp, yellowtail salad, crab, and of course the sticky apricot pudding. We are not big wine drinkers, but I really enjoyed the wine pairings. The 2oz tasting or 5oz pours are a nice touch. Our server was outstanding. I believe he is studying to become a sommelier, because he really knew the wines and had thorough explanations of each wine. More people need to make the journey to Henderson to see what Mr. Clawson is doing.

I'm not sure. When you are seated you walk by the grill and I'm sure they had those steaks pre-cut. I believe most are at least 2lbs. You could probably request a bigger or smaller ribeye, those steaks are made for sharing. We shared with the couple next to us & still ended up taking steak home. But, we ordered many of the smaller plates.

We liked the smaller plates more than the steak at Bazaar Meat. The Cotton Candy Foie, Jose Asian Tacos & pork skin chicharron are all very good. We really enjoyed the beef & parmesan grissini. You might be better off getting the Wagyu beef cheeks and other small plates to share. We had the Lindsay Ranch beef and it was 2.5lbs. While it was tasty, we have had better steaks at Cut or Gordon Ramsey.

Rollin Smoke BBQ. Goodwich for some good/unique sandwiches, followed by Art of Flavors gelato. Check out Oscars Cafe in Springdale (Zion), good breakfast & lunch spot.

Love the pastries at Bouchon. Art of Flavors & Jinju chocolates are world class, not to be missed. The owner at Art of Flavors is awesome, let's you try everything before you decide. She does some really unique flavors. Can't go wrong with the truffles & candy bars at Jinju.

Thanks for the review. This place has been on my radar since it opened. Looks like I will be driving down to Henderson soon. It will be interesting to see how they do long term. Mostly chain restaurants and not many "fine" dining options close by. Henderson needs more places like this, hopefully locals will go.
