Here in Westchester on Planet Earth, the milk that is sold in supermarkets is the pasteurized milk that has been sold for decades. It even has an expiration (sell by) date on the bottle, usually about 7-10 days, and shortly after that you will note that it has turned sour--hardly the course of ultrapasteurized milk. Cream is a different story--it is usually ultrapasteurized. And by the way, I for one have no problem with milk from cows who have been treated with growth hormone. Milk is milk, and any problem with GH is the cow's, not mine. The benefit, by the way, is ours--the cows produce more milk, lessening the cost of producing it.
