Traveling to Hilton Head for a weeks vacation (never been). I know I can count on fellow chowhounders to point me in the right direction to the best eats Hilton Head has to offer.

Nuoc Cham!! Absolutely an amazing condiment (vietnamese). Its sweet, sour, funky, salty, acidic. It goes well over salad, vermicelli noodle salad, soup, and even over some mussels. It also makes a great dipping sauce. I got the recipe from the exec chef (Karen) at Boston's Myers&Chang (great restaurant BTW). That condiment is a hit at all my dinner parties. Definitely a must try, if you haven't done so already.

charred ends sounds ridiculously good. I guess I will have to add Charcoal Grill to the list of stops.

We are very mobile. I have a fat boy soul.LOL I will drive anywhere to enjoy good food.

 

My friends and I are taking a trip to Baltimore this Friday (3/8/13), and we keep hearing about Pit Beef.... The one place that keeps coming up is Chaps, but I am sure that there are other places that the locals ( and true afficionados) go to. Any recommendations??? We are also doing crab cakes as well, Other than Faidley's who else serves the best crab cakes?
