Spending 3 days in Memphis. Love the Second Line menu but wondering if we go for dinner or brunch...or both?? Can't seem to find a good brunch menu.

I'd recommend Panico's bistro. It's set in an old church. BYO and great portion sizes.

Ricks only does deviled clams around the holidays (Thanksgiving to Christmas) and even then they're not guaranteed :(

Where to go?? Booked Parc but wondering if there's another place that will satisfy the milestone birthday needs ( great food, service, drink & ambiance(outside?!?). Help!

Not surprised at all. Actually more surprised it lasted this long!

Our trip was great! Started out a bit frustrating due to rental car issues and traffic on Oahu but after some great food and beach time we moved on to Maui (so much more relaxed!) for 3 more nights. Then back to Oahu for our final night. Highlights of the trip:
Sushi Sasabune
MW
Sushi Ginza Onodera
Pig & the Lady
Duke's
KCC market
Feast at Lele
Leoda's
Tamura's (poke & wine)
Port town chevron (spam!)
Chicken stop on R2H
Banana bread R2H
Milagros Food
Honu
Ululani's
Fumi's shrimp truck
Ted's bakery
Leonard's bakery

Only miss was the lunch plate but I feel we did a great job eating our way across the 2 islands.

Thanks for all the advice!

+1 for tamuras. We stopped out on way to the Ritz. Tried a few different types and turned out to be some of the best of our trip. Bonus for great wine selection!

They're on Russet's latest menu. Any other restaurants serving them??

I've booked the Boulevard for lunch this Friday but am rethinking my reservation as I've been to the restaurant in the past. Looking for a place with good food (possibly not overly touristy) and a view. I've looked at the Waterbar and it seems decent but would appreciate a locals opinion!

Thanks Kathryn! I've been using your Maui list as a guide :)

I've already purchased groupons for Makani which should have us back on land around 7. I'm expecting food to be blah so I'm sure we'll want a redemption meal (or 2nd dinner as we like to call it) when we return.

Fortunately we'll be stopping in PHX (from PHL) for 2 nights so I'm hoping this helps with jet lag.

Is the no alcohol policy enforced? I like to mix some vodka & juices in my tervis to sip on the beach. Will this be an issue?

I have Kaua Store marked as the picnic lunch pickup for R2H. Is there somewhere else I should look into?

We definitely plan to enjoy some plate lunches and poke. I just don't want to feel like we have to leave the beach every day to get food. I am a sun worshiper and planned this BIG birthday trip based on the beach and food:). The runner-up was Italy but unfortunately no beach time in April in Italy!

I booked Sushi Sasabune via Opentable because I can't seem to connect with Sushi Ginza to book a ressie. Guess I'll keep trying!

Pig and the Lady is already booked! As is Feast at Lele!

I'm afraid the food on the sunset cruise will be mediocre at best. I was thinking the MaiTai and a snack at HwAK might be a good way to end our night.

Just booked MW. Not sure how this didn't come up on my list as somewhere to look into.

Not to worry - KCC is on our spreadsheet!

The wardrobe change was the turnoff for me. No need to pack a suit coat with a bathing suit! We've been to Per Se and Daniel so I think we're ok to bag Vintage Cave!

Leonard's and Ululanis are def on the list! And Hula pie (multiple) are a must!

We love to stay on the beach to watch the sunset from our lounge chairs w drink in hand. Then we shower and go to dinner. Maybe an east coast thing to not even think about dinner til 8ish?

We're staying at the Ritz. Won't we pass Star Noodle coming back from Paia? I'm hoping to nosh along the highway and then grab an easy meal on the way back to the hotel. Maybe we just plan on a full dinner and keep snacks to a minimum.

Looking for some feedback on my restaurant choices for dinners. Probably do 1-2 breakfasts out but planning to grab some breakfast foods (yogurt/fruit) to keep at hotels. Lunches will probably be spur of the moment decision so not to cut into beach time. I want to be sure I haven't missed any great places for our first trip to Hawaii. We'll be spending 4 nights in Waikiki and 3 nights at the Ritz Carlton on Maui. In Maui I'd prefer that we stay close to the RC so my bf doesn't have to be the DD every night.

Oahu
Sushi Sasabune (wanted to go to Nanzan Giro Giro but they're closed the week were there!)
Pig & the lady
House w/o a Key (might stop in after sunset cruise or ride back from north shore(shrimp trucks))
** need another dinner
Dukes? We're staying at the Outrigger so it would be convenient
Alan Wong's? Haven't read great reviews
Vintage Cave was on my list but I'm not sure I want to spend the $$ with all the other activities/restaurants we'll be going to. Unless it's a must!
12th Street Grill - curious to know about their Sunday supper for 4/12
Roy's? Worth going to the original?

Maui
Mama's Fish House (lunch when we land)
Feast at Lele
Merrimen's
Star Noodle (on our way back from Road to Hana) OR do we stop in Wailea for dinner?
**Do we add Mala?

We were in Scottsdale in November and fell in love with Crudo. Fast forward to April and were on our way from Philly to Hawaii with a 2 night stop in Scottsdale. Do we return to Crudo? The Mission is also on the list. Is there another must eat place we must try while in Scottsdale area? We'd prefer not to spend tons of money in prep for the amount we'll be spending in Hawaii but it is a BIG birthday trip! Cocktails and great wine are a must!

I visited Charleston twice last year and enjoyed every minute of it!
During our visits we are at the following:
The Ordinary
FIG
Husk
The Grocery
Pearlz
Cry Cafe
Hominy Grille
Toast
Poogan's Porch
Venue Inn
Butcher & the bee

What's new? Where to go this year?

Definitely go to Good Dog fora burger and the cheesesteak empanadas. El Vez is good for Mexican and Percy Street for BBQ. Can't go wrong at Reading Terminal!

We enjoyed all of the places on your list our last visit. Do yourself a favor and book a table at THe Ordinary. Pearlz is a great place for happy hour with oysters and $5 Martinis!

I think my friends and I ate everything on the menu last night including the short rib. Every bite was better than the last. From the amuse of savory rugula to the apple strudel this meal did not disappoint. Our bartender was super accommodating to our drink needs throughout the entire meal. Can't wait to return for the aged duck! Definitely worth checking out!

Looking for somewhere to grab breakfast on a Friday morning between Providence and Wellfleet will work!

BYOs are always my favorite! Just had dinner at Forcella in Jenkintown and it was delicious! Four courses (+ a surprise at the beginning from the chef (formerly of modo mio) for $45/person. Also highly recommend Modo Mio.

We enjoyed Big Fish (Dutch side near Westin) and Le Pressoir (French side).

We're visiting my BFs parents in NC and his mom has never had a lobster roll. Philly isn't known for lobster but somehow we have some great ones. Was hoping someone in NC/SC was putting out a good one for her to try.

Have you checked out The Grocery? I had a great meal there last year - especially remember the green tomato martini!
Also, Pearlz does a great happy hour and regular menu isn't bad.

Don't miss out on the oyster sliders at The Ordinary. I still dream about them!!
