PJ Clarke's @ Caesars Palace has an Oyster Riot Happy Hour; 3-6pm Sun-Thursday. Just a buck a bivalve. Awesome.

+1 for the Pasta Shop. Fresh made pasta, great little restaurant.

Yes, it's true. After more than two successful decades at Trop/Eastern, the Pasta Shop has moved south, to Henderson. The new restaurant is located in a newish strip mall; probably twice the size of their old space, with the same fresh homemade pasta dishes on the menu. The Brothers Alenik (Chef David and Glennie) are still the most gracious hosts, and the food is exactly the same--fantastic. FWIW, they've been consistently rated among the top Zagat (#1 at one time, I believe) Italian restos in LV. I've been just once since they relocated in early October. I had a great piece of salmon, and fettucini w/lobster cream sauce. Awesome. Open for lunch and dinner.

Agreed, chicken Davida is amazing; as is the shrimp/saffron squid ink pasta dish. And FYI, after 21 years at Trop/Eastern, the Alenik boys have moved the Pasta Shop to Henderson on Horizon Ridge near Carnegie. Same amazing food, in a nicer space.

How about the Queen Vic Pub in the Riviera? A proper English pub with plenty of brews on tap.

Perhaps you should acquaint yourself with Memphis BBQ and Mike Mills' bbq pedigree. Not only has he read books, I presume; he's written one. Oh, and that little ol' trophy as MIM Grand Champion translates into the best 'q in town. Easily.
