I just found this topic. I have been looking for Sasso Red Wine Vinegar for 6 months to no avail. I am glad to have these suggestions. Thank you.

Sorry. You can tell that we are really new to Las Vegas. We are staying at the Aria. We have no real budget constraints, love breakfast, want to avoid steakhouses, and live in NYC, DC, and Houston so would love to try restaurants that don't have branches in those cities. Thanks for responding

Sorry - a grammar correction. "None of us HAS ever been in Las Vegas before"

Help! We are four 70 year old former college roommates having a four day reunion in Las Vegas. We have no idea where to go for dinner. We will be staying at the Aria, like every kind of food, and will be celebrating a birthday one night. We would appreciate any suggestions. None of us have ever been in Las Vegas before. Thank you.

Thanks. We will be there on a Saturday and are planning a bus tour in the morning and then lunch. We can uber or taxi anywhere but would love a place downtown due to time constraints. Also, we live in DC so we have a lot of choices there so we would like an "Austin" or "Texas" kind of restaurant.

We will be in Austin for a wedding and will have one free lunch. We are staying at the Four Seasons and will not have a car. I would love some thoughts on where to go for lunch for a "taste of Austin" Thank you.

Report on breakfast - Friends from Mequon cancelled so we went straight to Blues Egg from the airport. Got there at 8:30 and it was packed with a 30-45 minute wait. Amazingly enough, we saw people who were on our plane from Washington there. Anyway, it was delicious and worth the wait (drove around the neighborhood for a bit while we waited). It was hard to choose but we ordered all egg dishes which were fantastic. The hash browns were the best. Great service and great coffee. We can't wait to go back - but, then, there are all those other suggestions to try......Thanks to all for your responses!

Thanks for all of these incredible suggestions. It sounds like Blue's Egg is the place to go and we will probably head there from the airport. It's possible, though, that friends from Mequon will meet us for breakfast. Any thoughts on places on the north side of Milwaukee? It is possible that some of these restaurants are located there but we are not at all familiar with the area so we don't know. Thank you for your help.

I will be arriving in Milwaukee on a Saturday morning at 7:30 with my two adult daughters to attend a bridal shower at 1:00. We will be heading north towards Mequon and will have time to fill. I'm wondering if anyone can suggest an interesting place to go for breakfast. Thanks.

Reporting back from my two days in Savannah - The night we got there we went to the Olde Pink House and it was charming and delicious. It is a very, very large restaurant but we were seated in an upstairs table at a window overlooking the square in front of the restaurant - very lovely. The food was delicious and I want to go back. I had the Chicken Liver appetizer and the Crab Cake appetizer which I would not do again as both the chicken livers and the crab cake were fried. Each one was very good but together they were a bit much. My daughter had the Wedge Salad and Scallop entree and loved them both. The next day we went to Mrs. Wilkes at 1:30 and waited in line exactly one hour before being seated. The day we were there they served three entrees - fried chicken, beef stew, and what one person leaving the restaurant said was brisket but turned out to be barbecued pork - and 21 vegetables. The whole experience was quite an experience and I would go again. The only warning is that because we were the last table served they only had
one dessert - banana pudding - instead of three. We were still so full at dinner time that we just had drinks and a snack in the bar of our hotel and went to Leopolds for a huge ice cream sundae. We loved Leopold's. The ice cream parlor was old and charming and the ice cream was delicious. I can't imagine hitting Mrs. Wilkes and having a big dinner the same day even if you scale down. It's hard to resist the two kinds of biscuits at Mrs. Wilkes. Can't wait to go back and try the other suggestions!

Thank you so much for the "heads up" about cash at Mrs. Wilkes. THAT would be disappointing. Gateway Girl

Thank you all so much. I had already made a reservation at the Olde Pink House for our first night so I appreciate your affirmation. I'm planning on Mrs. Wilkes for next day lunch and probably the Crystal Beer Parlor for dinner (the menu looks perfect). Will try Zunzi's and Jazz'd next rip! Thanks again

My daughter and I are going to Savannah for two days and I would like some recommendations for two dinners and one brunch. We are planning on going to Mrs. Wilkes one day for lunch. We would prefer local food, especially seafood. Thanks for your help.

Thanks to all for your comments. We went and actually had a decent meal. We got there at 6:15 and were the only ones there until about 6:30 when people started arriving and by 7 it was packed. The place is so dimly lit that we couldn't see anyone's faces, famous or not. Thank goodness for cell phones or we wouldn't have been able to read the menu. The birthday girl was happy with her wedge salad and crab cakes and so the rest of us were happy. I'm glad we went - and there must be something to it because when we left every table was filled and people were waiting!

Has anyone been to the Waverly Inn recently? I haven't been there in many years but my daughter (age 29) has picked it for her birthday dinner. I would appreciate anyone's thoughts. Thank you. Bateway Girl

Thanks for all of your help. Lightfoot it is! We're all looking forward to it.

Six women are going to a spa to celebrate a friend's 70th birthday and want to have lunch on the way. Does anyone have any suggestions for lunch in Leesburg or lunch somewhere between DC and Leesburg? Thanks for your help.

Thank you to all who answered. I made a reservation at Keens and am looking forward to going to a place I've heard so much about. We'll try Stella's or Friedmans next time.

Arriving in NYC and want to meet friends near Penn Station. They will be on (long) lunch breaks. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Sasso has gone missing again. I was getting it sent by the case from NYC but they no longer import it. Have you found anything comparable. Thanks

We are meeting friends in Baltimore for dinner on a Saturday night and I have fond memories of delicious meals in Little Italy? Can anyone recommend any restaurants and possibly an Italian pastry shop where we could go for dessert.? Thanks.

I think one of the best desserts I've had in New York is the "monster chocolate chip cookie" at Vero Wine Bar at 1483 2nd Avenue (I think in the 70s). I always try to go there when I'm in New York.

Does anyone know where to BUY crumpets in the DC area? I've been buying them online from Wolferman's but it's getting expensive. Thanks.

We were looking for a place that serves brisket, roast chicken, latkes, and matzo ball soup. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks
