I made a horrible mistake. I made it two Sundays ago.
I went to Sunday "brunch" at Zydeco's Downtown next to Big Eds. I had gone to Big Eds Saturday, and parked in the lot where Zydeco's is located. My wife thought it looked interesting, and talked to a man grilling ribs out front, so we went to their "brunch" the next Sunday.
Ambiance: None / I couldn't believe it. There appeared to have been a brawl in the dining room earlier. There was one family present. Their table was pulled right next to the "buffet". You had to squeeze by them to get to the buffet. Filthy and disorganized looking is the only way to describe the restaurant. The bathrooms had rags around the pipes leading from the sinks that were leaking some sort of discolored liquid. They smelled bad.
Fare: Horrible / Everything tasted very old. The fish was way past its prime.
Service: Lame / Asked for a cup of coffee, and had to ask twice. Two servers that could be spotted flitting about in other rooms where there were no customers.
Saw three couples come in, look at the buffet, and do an immediate u-turn, and left. (Why didn't I do that. You guys know why, don't you.)
I wrote the owner, and asked for an explanation for having such a terrible "brunch". I received back a response that indicated my message was never read.
