Zweigle's and Hofmann's

I've been dying to try these brands of hot dogs, and now, thanks to Wegman's, I can get them. I tried the Hofmann's German style frank. Exceptional. Far exceeded my expectations. Right up there as one of the best German style (beef and pork) franks. I would still rate Thumann's as the best. Next are Hofmann's and Schaller & Weber. Both great. Right behind them would be Miller's of Stratford, Ct. They make the dogs served at Super Duper Weenie in Fairfield, Ct.

As for Zweigle's White Hots; it is a very good product, but I would consider it a bratwurst, not a hot dog. I think that they call it a white hot because it may appeal more to younger people than if they called it a bratwurst. Almost as good as the brats sold at the Union Pork Store in Union, N.J. which I consider the standard for brats.
