Zucca-tasting menu

russkar | Jun 9, 200512:05 PM

Last night we decided to return to Zucca to re-try the very good Pizza we had last week. It never happened! The Actor who played the Warden in Shawshank Redemption was sitting across from us and Little KIM walked in with her entourage.
Just as were about to order the Killer Pizza the Chef (ACE) walks up and says do you like Copper River Salmon? What? This isn't Watergrill? Anyway Chef Ace said he had a perfect CRSalmon and if we wanted he would do a Tasting Menu. We said YES of course!
Seared Day Boat Scallop w/summer corn,Engish Peas, aged Balsamic

Vine Ripened Tomato(perfect tomato) Salad w/baby Romaine, Gorgonzola, roasted sweet peppers, w/red wine vinaigrette

Fresh Linguini w/Wild Mushrooms, roasted garlic and thyme

Pan Seared C R Salmon w/saffron braised artichokes w/ preserved lemon

Grilled Angus Bistro Filet, Chainti Sauce, Rosemary Potato

Panna Cotta w/rosemary stewed berries and Ricotta Cheesecake w/ GM orange reduction

Everything was very good and the price(65-) very reasonable for so much good food, the CR Salmon was worth 30-by itself.
When the Manager (Val)found out we never had a chance to order the Pizza we originally came for she graciously made one and presented it to us as a gift on the way out. We will be returning.
It is recommended that you call ahead for the Tasting Menu, especially on fri and sat.
