Zoubi in New Hope

Carol O. | Jul 4, 2003 03:33 PM

Hi! first message to Chowhounds, although I've been lurking for awhile. My impression of New Hope has been that there are few good restaurants in New Hope, except for Moonlight, our favorite, but now closed, and Karla's, which we have never tried. Last night we went to Zoubi, a tiny, mostly outdoor restaurant in New Hope. It was spectacular! It is right next door to Karla's, and the owner, Andre LeNoble, is partners with the owner of Karla's.

Zoubi's courtyard setting is lovely, and Mr. LeNoble is a charming host. The cuisine is sort of French/Asian. We had excellent fish soup, grilled radicchio salad, and crab cakes to die for. We're going back next week, and bringing friends!

To our amazement, we were told they have been open for three years. We had never heard of it. I've never seen Zoubi mentioned on this board, or anywhere else. Has anyone heard of this terrific find?
