I need advice | Mar 13, 2006 10:47 PM

I made a post similar to this last week but unfortunately I didn't get many recommendations. I'm going to try Zoe's for the first time this week and, well, I need advice!

What good hot/cold small dishes should I get? I looked up an old Zoe's review and I'm thinking of trying the fried lotus root with pork (is cold sweet and sour lotus root better?) and mysterious flavored chicken recommended on that post. The spicy cucumber sounds good too. How big are these small dishes? The usual size of hot/cold small appetizers I presume? Are the Sichuan steamed spicy dumplings suan la chow?

I can't decide wether to try Sichuan, Shanghainese, or northern Chinese for my main course. Which does Zoe's do best? I'm considering lamb with cumin, double cooked pork, lion's head meatball and braised beef filets with vegetables.
