Not a bad place but had higher expectations.
We tried the brynzovy halusky (spaetzle with
sheeps cheese and bacon) ,which is the national
dish of Slovakia, and it was terrible. It tasted
amazingly like parmesan and was heavy and pastey.
Have spent time in Slovak and Czech republics and
eaten this dish many times in homes and restaurants
and this just did not measure up. The pork schnitzel
was very good and so were the potato pancakes.
Don't miss Pilsner Urquell on tap. The staff was
pleasant but service was euro-style, dishes did not
all come out right at the same time. Would try
it again but would go to Bohemian Hall first, which
had very good plain food, or try Milan's in Brooklyn
