Zito's East

Has anyone been to Zito's East (1st Ave and 13th St)lately? We used to go all the time. One of our favorite places for pizza in the city. A notch below Grimaldi's, Totonno's and Two Boots. Anyway just got back and it looks like they're under new ownership. The pizza was terrible; the sauce was sour and probably rancid. When we complained, they did nothing for us. We told them we're never coming back and we sure won't be.

For anyone who has never travelled beyond NYC, this is the only place in the country where most restaurants rarely make any attempt to make it up to you if the service or food is unsatisfactory e.g. removing $ off the bill or a free drink or dessert. I'm wondering what other people's experiences are with this type of situation.
